Although Mumbai Indians won the match, they were unable to meet the qualifications for the play-off.

Mumbai Indians’ renowned player Ishan Kishan made history in the 2021 Indian Premier League by making a superb half-century in 16 balls. He scored 84 runs off32 balls which gave the Mumbai Indians an excellent defending ground as they moved on to the middle-overs. Sharma managed to remove Kieron Pollard and Neesham in a back-to-back delivery during the 13th over.

Mumbai Indians managed to get off the 230-run mark with the help of Suryakumar Yadav, who scored 82 runs in 40 balls. On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad brought in Mohammed Nabi and Manish Pandey to replace their Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Kane Williamson.

Manish Pandey tried his best to keep his team on the top, and he made two beautiful boundaries in the final over, which did not affect their scorecard. He also made 11 runs in the last over, but his team, Sunrisers Hyderabad, was beaten by Mumbai Indians in the end.

Mumbai Indians had brilliant openers at the beginning of the game, which gave them an elevated position leading to their victory. Rohit Sharma and Kishan made 18 off 13, which was a pretty profound start, and showed their opponent that they meant business from the start. In addition, Kishan kept pushing and giving Sunrisers pressure. He did not give any chance to the Sunrisers Hyderabad bowler to make their stand. He made his fifty in just 16 balls.

Pandey managed to keep off two of Krunal’s deliveries for a four and a six. His move made Mumbai Indians move back to their feet, making their third wicket of the inning. As the match progresses, the batsman, Abhishek, takes on Neeshama, and he even tries to up his game, but his timing fails him as he ends up sending the ball straight to Coulter-Nile. He was right in front of the Boundary rope, and he later walked back with 16-ball 33.

Later in the game, Boult removes Roy from the middle, helped by Krunal, who made a perfect catch. Afterward, he tried to make a hook, but the ball went straight to the fielder. Abhishek saves the game by his four in the over, which then confirmed the four play-off spots. Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to cross the 65-run mark with a 70/1, and this move knocked out Mumbai Indians from the qualifications of the Play-off race by six overs.

For Sunrisers, Hyderabad, Abhishek Sharma, and Jason Roy were the openers of the match, after which Boult maintained a tight proceeding keeping the game quite tight for the Mumbai Indians. Later on, he conceded five runs off the first over.
