Everything You Need To Know About Scotland Squad for T20 World Cup 2021
The ICC T20 World Cup is finally happening this year. Although the event faced quite a few hiccups regarding its venue selection, the event organizers finally agreed on the fact that the event will take place in Oman and the United Arab Emirates.
Among other participating national cricket teams from countries around the globe, Scotland will also be playing in the event. They recently announced their final squad that will represent Scotland in the international cricket event.
Kyle Coetzer will be leading the team, and he will be accompanied by Jonathan Trott – the former batsman from England, as a batting consultant. The squad also consists of Michael Leask, Josh Davey, Mark Watt, and George Munsey. These four players also represented Scotland in the T20 World Cup that took place way back in 2016.
The squad also comprises Dylan Budge, Oli Hairs, Chris Greaves, Hamza Tahir, Chris Sole, Brad Wheal, and Craig Wallace. All of these players will be representing Scotland for the first time at a major ICC cricketing event.
The wicket-keeping duties have been given to Matthew Cross, and the duties of the vice-captain will rest on the shoulders of Richard Berrington.
Other strong additions to the final Scotland T20 World Cup 2021 squad are Ally Evans, Calum Macleod, Mather Cross, and Safyaan Sharif. All of these players jointly have won more than 1000 caps for Scotland.
The coaching team of Scotland also has an addition and he is Craig Wright, the fast-bowling expert, and assistant coach. Chris Brown is the revered spin bowling coach!

Scotland is placed in Group B in fourth place with Bangladesh in first, Oman in second, and Papua New Guinea in the third position respectively.

- On 17th October, Scotland will be playing against Bangladesh. The match will take place in Muscat, and will begin at 7:30 PM.
- On 19th October, Scotland will be playing against PNG. The match will take place in Muscat, and will begin at 3:30 PM.
- On 21st October, Scotland will be playing against Oman. The match will take place in Muscat, and will begin at 7:30 PM.
