Domestic Career:

Ishan Kishan made his first-class debut in December 2014 for Jharkhand. He registered a century and five fifties in his initial ten first-class games. This did not get the selector’s attention, but the selectors saw his talents in his debut Ranji season. In the Ranji season, he scored a hundred and 5 fifties in 2014. 

Ishan had a great year in the 2016 Ranji Trophy in the Domestic career when he scored 273 runs against Delhi. This score was the highest one for any player in Jharkhand in that Ranji year. 

In the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy, he was the top run-scorer for Jharkhand with 405 runs in 9 games. 

Under – 19 Career:

Ishan’s fame came first when he was appointed to lead the India under-19 for the 2016 U-19 World Cup in Dhaka. He scored 73 runs in six innings and led the team to the finals but finished as runners-up. 

IPL Debut:

After leading the Under-19 in the U-19 World Cup, Ishan Kishan was bought by Gujarat Lions. In two seasons, he played 16 games and scored only 319 runs. He made his IPL debut on April 11, 2016, against Punjab Kings at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium. In this match, Gujarat won by 5 wickets.
