The IPL 2021 season saw launches of brand new jerseys from the teams. The jerseys are more than apparel to the team and the fans. It acts as a reminder of the values and the philosophy of the sports team.
The teams have been reinventing their jerseys over the years. But, of course, changes to the look aren’t a new thing. From changing sponsors to the look and design of the jersey, the teams have been bringing new looks in IPL seasons, some more so than the others.

The defending champion MI (Mumbai Indians) launched their new jersey before the opening of IPL 2021. Their jersey captured the composition of the five elements. It represents the earth, water, air, fire, and sky, which signify the franchise’s essence. However, they held onto their team color, blue.
Unlike most of the teams, the boys in red didn’t make any changes to their jersey. Their principal sponsor is Puma, a leading global sports brand. The team has signed a multi-year deal with the brand.
CSK has won 3 IPL trophies over the years. The yellow team made some changes to their jersey. The major difference being the camouflage designs on the shoulders, along with the change in their title sponsor. The new design of camouflage is placed to honor India’s armed forces.
The team decided to make a grand launch associated with Red Bull for their new jersey in IPL 2021. The show featured 3D projection and a light show in the Sawai Mansingh Stadium ahead of the Indian Premier League. However, they held onto their color pink, which represents Rajasthan, their home-ground.
KKR, too, didn’t make any changes to their IPL 2020 jersey. Their gold and purple jersey remained the same. The team is sponsored by Mobile Premier League in the IPL 2021 season.
The Delhi Capitals team can be seen in their blue jersey and are sponsored by Ebixcash, Apollo Tyres, Jio, and JSW. No significant changes have been made to their jersey in IPL 2021.
The team, formerly known as Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), introduced their new jersey ahead of IPL 2021. They also changed their name and introduced a new logo.
Sunrisers Hyderabad’s IPL team jersey features the main sponsor JK Lakshmi Cement, JIo, Valvoline, and Colgate. Their team colors orange and black remain the same in the jersey.
