Valtteri Bottas Wins Russia’s GP after Time Penalties Defeat Lewis Hamilton

Hamilton wanted to match Michael Schumacher’s 91 Formula 1 Grand Prix schedule victory record but had to settle for the third time behind Bottas and Max Verstappen. On Sunday, after the penalties ruined its Mercedes teammate, Lewis Hamilton’s race before the biggest crowd in the current epidemic season, Valtteri Bottas was Russian Grand Prix Winner.

Bottas quickly gained a significant advantage over Verstappen and cruised to his first win since the Austrian Grand Prix opening season. At the beginning of this race, Hamilton was already under investigation by the stewards. He stopped twice before the race to practice at the pit lane exit instead of the approved location.

Beyond the fight, Aston Martin has been active in the build-up of the Russian GP as he has officially confirmed that both Sebastian Vettel and Lance can retain Stroll as his 2022 driver’s line-up. They began constructing its new F1 factory and installations and said that Martin Whitmarsh, the former McLaren boss, would become his new Aston Martin Performing Technology Group Manager.

The British driver had a victory shot with a team error for the second time in three races. At the 2014 Grand Prix in Monaco, the team in Marussia gained its maiden Championship points and the first licensed Russian builder to score the World championships was his leading driver, Jules Bianchi.

Russian Grand Prix Winner Hamilton was in charge of the penalty for entering the pit lane when it was closed after receiving a radio message from the team that warned him about it too late. The lead over Bottas in Hamilton’s scores decreased to 44 points, with seven scheduled races on schedule remaining altered due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Bottas, who collected the bonus point for the best lap as well, remarked that after an eight-round without victory, he wanted to “thank my critics,” even though he was by far the fastest car with Hamilton. In the beginning, Hamilton tried to lead by slide but braked late for a second round, which allowed Hamilton to grab the lead again.
