Mitchell is a talented Australian cricket player who plays for the national team and the New South Wales cricket club. He is an all-rounder, playing left-arm fast bowler and lower order left-hand batsman. His consistent performances in the 2015 Cricket World Cup when playing for Australia earned him the player of the tournament title. He has a total of 49 wickets in World Cup tournaments, and so far, he ranks fifth among the highest wicket-takers.
Since his ODI debut playing against India, Mitchell Starc has maintained some remarkable batting scores in his entire career. He has played over 99 ODI matches, and out of 56 innings, he has scored 428 runs with an average of 12.22 at a strike rate of 87.34. This is an excellent performance for an express bowler.
In all the ODI innings he has been part of, he has over 20 unbeaten runs with a high score of 52. In test matches, his runs stand at 1596 from 91 innings and 61 games. His highest score in the tests is 99, at a strike rate of 67.68. These scores are marked by 10 fifties, 147 fours, and 43 sixes.
Starc played his debut match for New South Wales in 2009, and his performance landed him the chance to replace Aaron Bird, who was on suspension. He played for Sheffield Shield in the 2009-10 season and took 21 wickets and one half-century, including a 5/74 when playing against Queensland. In 2019, Starc dominated international cricket and went ahead to break many records in the ODI tournaments.
When playing for Sydney Sixers in the 2011-12 Big Bash League, Starc played six matches and finished the tournament with 13 wickets. His test debut for the national team came in December 2011, and out of the two tests, he only played in the first test against New Zealand, taking two wickets.
