Active IPL Players Who Have Spent Over 10 Years At A Single Franchise

Indian premier league, which started in 2008, will be going into its 14th edition. The 14th season which started early this year is now headed in its second half, which is set to take place in September-October. Since the beginning, the IPL has grown many players, and some have been able to stay with their franchise for 10 years and more. Here’s a list of such players who are still active in the 2021 Indian Premier League. 

A B de Villiers

He joined the Royal Challenger Bangalore in 2011 and will have spent 10 years with the team this season. The former South African player has had 3 unbeaten centuries and 40 half-centuries. 

Virat Kohli

Virat also plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore but has been with the team since its first season in 2008. Meaning he has been in the IPL for 13 years. 

Kieron Pollard

Kieron is a superb all-rounder who has been with the Mumbai Indians since 2010. Not only can he hit the ball hard, but he is also an outstanding fielder, and nothing can go past him.  

Rohit Sharma

Rohit also plays for the Mumbai Indians and has been in the squad since 2011. He is ranked as the 4th highest run-scorer in the IPL and is having a superb showing in the current season. 

Suresh Raina

Suresh made his first cricket debut in 2008 while playing for Chennai Super Kings. Even though they were banned from Indian Premier League schedule for 2 years, in 2016 and 2017, he has still stayed with the franchise. 

MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni has also been playing for Chennai Super Kings since the start of IPL in 2008. However, unlike Raina, he left for the 2 seasons that CSK was banned. After returning to his team, he helped them win the IPL title in the 2010, 2011, and 2018 seasons.
