The past year saw several delays and reschedules in all sports due to the COVID -19 pandemic. It looks like the pattern continues this year. One among the rescheduled matches was the India Vs South Africa which was scheduled to happen in September 2021 that got cancelled due to the rescheduled IPL 2021 that was to take place on UAE soil.
The match has been rescheduled between January 11 to 16th. It is to be noted that the India tour of South Africa will begin with a test series from December 17, after which India will play 3 ODIs from January 11 to 16. The T20Is with four matches will follow suit from January 19 to 25.
The South African cricket board confirmed the same, and the schedule and fixtures have also been confirmed.
It is to be noted that India and South Africa last faced each other in a bilateral series in India in March 2020 to play three One Day International (ODI) matches. Still, the series was called off after the first game was washed out due to the heavy downpour amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
