Sri Lanka Defeated By South Africa By 9 Wickets In The 2nd T20I

As the T20I commences, the teams are prepared to take their opponents on, and the most interesting is the 2021 South Africa tour of Sri Lanka. After South Africa beat Sri Lanka in the 1st T20I, they gained the momentum to take them to the next T20I series. They came in hot during their match with Sri Lanka as they did not want to give them any chance of winning. 

Aiden Markram gave South Africa the most impressive bowling performance, followed by a fifty by Quinton de Kock, the opening batsman. South Africa lashed Sri Lanka by 9 wickets in the three-match series, giving them a lead of 2-0, with just one game to go according to the 2021 schedule.

As the South Africa vs. Sri Lanka match kicks off, the visitors gave a fantastic start where their openers dominated the host’s bowlers. Quinton de Kock managed to score 58 runs in 48 balls, supporting his stand with seven boundaries. He partnered with Reeza Hendricks to give the best opening giving Sri Lanka spinners the most challenging time. 

However, Sri Lanka tried hard to defend their position in the field when Hasaranga removed Hendricks in the 9th over of the inning on 18. After that threatening wicket, South Africa became alert, and Aiden Markram decided to join Quinton in the middle, ensuring that South Africa made it to the top with lots of ease.

Earlier in the game, South Africa vs. Sri Lanka, the hosts were the ones who won the toss and chose to bat first. Unluckily, they lost their opener Dinesh Chandimal in the second over. For Sri Lanka, Kusal Perera is the player who scored the most runs as he recorded 30 runs in just 25 balls. He also had two boundaries and a maximum. 

Markram removed B Rajapaksa, who had scored 20 runs in 13 balls. Markram managed to pick three of the most crucial wickets as Tabraiz also picked three. Fortuin stepped in with two wickets as Anrich Nortje, and Keshav Maharaj took one wicket each, giving South Africa victory over Sri Lanka by nine wickets with 35 balls left.
