The Scorecard

The England Women vs New Zealand Women Schedule has given us some fantastic games not just in this series, but over the years as well. This match was stationed to be no different. The location of the game was at the County Ground in Bristol as the Day-Night affair began with England being put into bat first.

The England Women were bowled out for 241 in 49.3 overs after a good display of bowling from the NZW. However, the star performer in the English batting line-up was their captain, Heather Knight. A solid knock of 89 off only 107 balls made sure that English Women were put in a strong position to win the first game. At the mid-game mark, it was poised to be a cracking second half.

However, the people in the stadium and cricket enthusiasts were disappointed with the way the NZW batted. They were bundled out for a meager 211 in 46.3 overs. The only show of resistance was put up by the pair of Amy Satterthwaite and the captain, Sophie Devine. But after Sophie went for 34, the lower middle order felt like a pack of cards, leaving Satterthwaite to be the last woman standing.

Performer of The Match: Heather Knight
