Manish joined Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2009, where he made big runs with an exceptional performance. However, his career slowed down because he stirred controversy in a particular season. 

He was demanding a higher amount than his prescribed salary. The Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise was not ready to pay the amount because it was not part of the agreement. As a result, Manish was removed from the team and only played for Pune Warriors India. He was banned for four matches, and the fans were very disappointed in his actions, considering he is very talented.
