The Indian Premier League 2021 schedule for the UAE leg has been announced. But the forceful takeover of Afghanistan by the Taliban has raised uncertainty about the fate of Afghani players. Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi both play for Sunrisers Hyderabad. They are currently in the United Kingdom playing in the ongoing The Hundred tournament.
The second leg of the IPL will begin on September 19 latest IPL 2021 schedule has been released. But uncertainty looms over the fact if Khan and Nabi will be playing in the tournament. The players have their families residing in Afghanistan. This puts a question on the players’ availability in the UAE leg.

But the BCCI will contact the Afghanistan Cricket Board to gain more information. According to sports news, Afghanistan is also supposed to go to Sri Lanka for white-ball matches. However, there has been no official news about it as of now. Therefore, the series is yet to be confirmed.
