India and Pakistan to Fight It Out in Super 12 at the ICC T20 World Cup 2021

The ICC Men T20 World Cup is all set to begin from October 18, 2021. After a lot of venue changes, this edition of the T20 World Cup is being held in the UAE and Oman. The fixtures for the Cup were released recently, and longtime rivals India and Pakistan will fight it out on the pitch in the Super 12. Their last fixture was way back in 2019, and this is their first matchup in more than 2 years.

Group 2 in the Super 12s

The Super 12 teams have been grouped into two, with Group 2 containing India, Pakistan, New Zealand, and Afghanistan. Two teams that qualify from the lower tier will be placed in this group alongside these teams. This is the first matchup between the longtime rivals in more than two years, and many commentators are excited to see how the match will turn out. The T20 World Cup 2021 will not be short of excitement.

Virat Kohli vs. Babar Azam

In the India vs Pakistan 2021 match, the spotlight is going to be on Virat Kohli and Babar Azam. The 26-year-old Pakistani has made quite a name for himself, and happens to be one of the most destructive batsmen in the world. On the other hand, the mature and sleek Kohli is in a separate class of his own. The age-old rivalry between the neighboring cricket teams will be a treat to watch.

What About the Other Group?

In the T20 World Cup, Group A consists of England, South Africa, Australia, and the current defending champions West Indies. Two teams from the lower tier qualifiers will also find their way into this group. The 2021 edition of the World Cup is going to be very exciting and holds a lot of promise too!
