The third test series between India and England is from August 25th to 29th at Leeds.
After Dom Sibley of the England Test squad had been dropped from the match, Dawid Malan was recalled to take part in the 3rd test series that is yet to take place at Headingley.
This left-handed batsman had only played one match in this season, where he scored 199 for Yorkshire against Sussex at Headingley in June. Another player added to the squad is England’s bowling sensation and the right-arm fast bowler, Saqib Mahmood.
This time the England team has many injured players. One of them is Mark Wood in the squad, hoping to return fit for the third series of the test.
Commenting on the inclusion of Dawid Malan in the England vs India test series, the England head coach Chris Silverwood told the media that it is a well-deserved opportunity for Dawid Malan in the test arena. His experience across all formats have been valuable to the team. The coach also expressed his confidence that the fast bowler can perform well on his home ground owing to the fact that he has played first-class cricket in a limited time this season.
The team is hopeful that Mark Wood will be fit after injuring his right shoulder in the first Eng vs Ind test match. But his presence in the team is uncertain though his name is on the squad list.
