In the 6th match of the CPL, Barbados Tridents vs Jamaica Tallawahs, the Tallawahs won the match. This win marks their second win of the tournament, having won all two matches played. After winning the toss, Barbados chose to bat first and scored a reasonable 151 runs. The batter Azam Khan took 50 runs in just 30 balls for the Royals. He achieved the score with five fours and three sixes. The Pakistani batter played with Glenn Phillips on the pitch. The CPL 2021 schedule was favorable to the Royals.

Opting to bat first turned out to be a bad decision for Barbados Royals. The Royals lost their top order batsmen Shai Hope and Kyle Myers during the onset of the match. Fidel Edwards, this year is his debut in Hero CPL, took the two wickets with successive balls. Things started to look better with the partnership of Azam and Philips scoring 71 together in 51 balls. The final score of 151 wasn’t high, but it was decent for a T20 series. Joshua Philip impressed everyone with his bowling – 3/20 while other bowlers weren’t in the form.

Tallawahs hit the target in a little less than 18 overs. Kennar Lewis is the major contributor for the quick victory with good support from Shamarh Brooks. Shamarh Brooks scored 47 runs out of 26 balls; not out. Albeit losing two middle-order wickets, the Tallawahs did well in Barbados Royals vs Jamaica Tallawahs.
