CPL 2021: TKR Complete Players List

The Caribbean Premier League 2021, the annual cricket carnival in the West Indies, will begin on August 28 at Warner Park in St Kitts and Nevis. In the recently concluded CPL player draught, all of the teams selected their entire squad.

Since its establishment in 2013, the Trinbago Knight Riders have been the undisputed champions of the Caribbean Premier League. The Knight Riders have won four CPL titles in eight seasons, two more than the Jamaica Tallawahs and Barbados Tridents. After assembling a well-balanced roster, they will try for a fifth crown in the CPL 2021, a process that ended on May 28 with the Player Draft.

Kieron Pollard, the calm skipper of the Trinbago team, is a massive asset to the team. Pollard has played in numerous T20 competitions across the world and is an absolute master of the format. It’s no surprise, therefore, that the Mumbai Indians have entrusted him with captaincy duties in the IPL when regular captain Rohit Sharma is absent and the Trinidadian has performed well.

But TKR isn’t only about Pollard. Sunil Narine, Colin Munro, Darren Bravo, Lendl Simmons, and Ravi Rampaul are the stars of the match who are capable of overturning the game on its head on their own.

Ravi Rampaul, a Caribbean fast bowler, is one of the newcomers to the Trinbago Knight Riders this season. Sandeep Lamichhane, a Nepalese leg-spinner, was also taken into the team before the CPL 2021 Draft.

Isuru Udana of Sri Lanka and Sikandar Raza of Zimbabwe have joined the Knight Riders to bolster their all-rounder section. Last month, Denesh Ramdin, a wicketkeeper, joined the Trinidad and Tobago-based CPL team.

Pakistani paceman Muhammad Hasnain was highly useful in the CPL 2019 and took a lot of wickets; however, he had to quit the CPL team after a few events due to a national team call up, which had an influence on the Trinbago Knight Riders squad’s effectiveness. This year, TKR’s administration is hopeful that the youthful Ali Khan (in the TKR 2021 Players list) can work his magic with the ball and help them win another CPL championship in 2021.

In the first round, the 2018 CPL champion Trinbago Knight Riders kept champion all-rounder and skipper Dwayne Bravo, and in the second round, another fantastic all-rounder Kieron Pollard. Sunil Narine was retained in round three, and Colin Munro, last season’s leading run-scorer, was retained in round four. The names of these squad members are printed on the Trinbago Knight Riders’ jersey.

Complete list of Trinbago Knight Riders players: Kieron Pollard (Captain), Ravi Rampaul, Sunil Narine, Colin Munro, Ali Khan, Sandeep Lamichhane, Lendl Simmons, Khary Pierre, Isuru Udana, Darren Bravo, Sikandar Raza, Jayden SealesAnderson Phillip, Denesh Ramdin, Tion Webster, Akeal Hosein and Leonardo Julian.
