The Hero Caribbean Premier League has partnered with the St Kitts Tourism Authority to give internships to St Kitts and Nevis residents. According to the CPL 2021 Schedule, the matches will be between August 26 and September 15. Three residents namely, Simone Mills, Jade Johnson and Rashid Stanley, have been selected for the internships.
The interns will be able to work in the branding, marketing, sponsorship and other departments of the tournament. The interns will gain valuable knowledge and experience. The selected interns will be mentored by the staff involved in the tournament. Chris Watson, the head of Hero CPL’s Marketing, feels delighted to be able to offer these opportunities. He thinks that this is an excellent initiative to up-skill the talents of the selected interns.
The past interns have returned as employees for different CPL Teams. The marketing head hopes that it will happen this year as well. Lindsey FP Grant takes pride in all the selected interns. He thinks that it is an excellent opportunity for the interns to gain first-hand knowledge. Getting involved in managing such a grand event will be an enriching experience for all the interns.
The interns will gain extensive knowledge about producing content for different media. They will be able to transform that knowledge into various spheres. The knowledge will not remain limited to the field of sports. They will be able to utilize it in tourism, culture, entertainment and many other facets. This is a unique initiative for generating employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
