Siraj, Shardul, Vihari, And Rahul In Team India To Make Significant Changes In England Test Series

ICC’s World Test Championships are an arena where the best of the best have battled to their victories. India’s Siraj, Vihari, Shardul, and Rahul are among them.

The Indian cricketers have displayed, through their past performances, a lot of strength and agility in the field. They’re likely to perform well in the India vs. England test series and push the team to remarkable achievements. Let’s look at their Test performances so far, then you can agree for yourself.

Mohammed Siraj

He made his debut in Australia on 26th December 2020. Siraj is considered very skillful and has so far played five tests. During the fourth Test against Australia, he took his first five-wicket haul. In total, he’s picked sixteen wickets.

Siraj failed to play in the final WTC against New Zealand, which took place in Southampton. It was a miscalculation from Team India because Siraj would’ve been a proper choice of help by perhaps swinging the ball both ways. Team India might soon have Siraj for the England test series as a replacement for Ishant Sharma.

Hanuma Vihari

In January, he was out of the final match of the four-test series against Australia after a hamstring injury. After that, Vihari’s recovery made it possible to return and play against New Zealand in the WTC. Moreover, because of Shubman Gill’s injury and subsequent elimination, Team India will likely vote in Vihari for the England test series or even Mayank Agarwal.

KL Rahul

Rahul has had it rather tricky but learned from his failures. As a result, he dropped off the red-ball side in 2018. His last test match was in September 2019 against West Indies. After that, he continued working on his approach. He missed being in the final squad in the India vs. New Zealand World Test Championship that started on 18th June at Southampton.

In May 2021, Rahul underwent appendicitis surgery and recovered. A few days ago, he scored a hundred in a three-day first-class match in red-cricket. Because of these runs, India’s squad is probably to name Rahul for the England test series. Thus, his patience for a turn seems to pay off soon.

Shardul Thakur

The hardworking cricketer made his test debut against West Indies. But, unfortunately, after only ten deliveries, he injured his right groin area. Then in January 2021, at Brisbane in a match against Australia, Shardul scored his maiden test fifties in the 1st innings of the fourth test match. In the final two tests of a four-match series of the WTC that started on 18th June at Southampton, Umesh Yadav replaced him. Shardul underwent a fitness test and was allowed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India to take part in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

In the upcoming matches from 4th August to 10th October, Team India will likely have Shardul for the England tests series. To summarize, the upcoming five-test series will open up India to more future opportunities and place their name high above their competitors.
