RR Team in IPL 2021: Complete Player list of Rajasthan Royals after Auction

Rajasthan Royals has a reputation for uncovering some exciting talent. Think Ajinkya Rahane, Sanju Samson, Yusuf Pathan, Ravindra Jadeja and Yashasvi Jaiswal, and you know you are dealing with a team full of talent. On the downside, the team has had its share of scandals and controversies. It was even banned in 2015, alongside Chennai Super Kings (CSK), on charges of illegal betting and match-fixing.   But, the new season will bring in new drama and matches that will create indelible memories. 

So, who are the players to look out for – the RR player list 2021: 

Rajasthan Royals won the inaugural IPL edition in 2008, but still lives with the tag of underdogs. It ended up at the bottom of the table in the last IPL edition and would be keen to do better this time around. A few changes have been implemented, including a new captain.

Rajasthan Royals went into the auction with INR 37.85 crores and shelled out INR 24.20 Crores. The huge chunk, INR 16.25 Crores, was spent on the Protease all-rounder, Chris Morris, making him the most expensive buy in the history of IPL. Other hefty buys include Shivam Dube (INR 4.4 Crores) and Chetan Sakariya (INR 1.2 Crores). Here’s a complete RR 2021 new players list.

Rajasthan Royals would be led by a new leader, Sanju Samson – it is a wait and watch policy – will he lead the team to the ultimate victory? Time will tell. Samson replaces Steve Smith.
