According to the IPL 2021 schedule for the UAE leg, the remaining matches will commence from September 19. Some players were unable to play the matches of the first half due to injuries. The teams had to find replacements for these players. But BCCI has now allowed the teams to retrieve players who were not available in the first phase. Following this, Shreyas Iyer and T Natarajan received the green signal to join their respective teams, Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
In Shreyas Iyer’s absence, Rishabh Pant was given the responsibility to lead Delhi Capitals. The team had a good run with Pant as their captain. But with Iyer now back in the field, the question of who will be the Delhi Capital captain rises. Shreyas Iyer missed the first half of the IPL 2021 due to a shoulder injury. But he has recovered from his injuries and is all set to make his presence felt.
Natarajan’s inclusion in Sunrisers Hyderabad will add to the team’s advantage. The team had an unfortunate experience in the first phase of the tournament. The team is currently at the end of the points table. The bowler had to drop out of the tournament due to a sore knee. He underwent surgery and is ready to make a comeback.
