The Caribbean Premier League 2021 is set to take place in St. Kitts and Nevis from the 26th of August. All of the 33 games will be played with strict Covid-19 pandemic regulations in mind. However, the six squads have already made it easier by announcing their player retention. The Caribbean Premier League 2021 player Draft is scheduled to take place on the 28th of May virtually.

Standing as the most successful team in the league is the Trinbago Knight Riders, who are also the defending champions of the Caribbean Premier league 2020. In the CPL 2021, their unbreakable team will be led by Kieron Pollard. The Trinbago Knights Riders also managed to retain the squad that managed to give them the crown in the last year’s tournament.

The draft selection is set to take place on the 28th of May at 6.30 PM IST Indian time. You can watch CPL 2021 Player Draft on the official Facebook page and the YouTube channel of the league. To manage to pick the CPL 2021 team, the patrons will be looking at their squad retentions and any possible comebacks for their teams.

The CPL 2021 rules are as follows; the players will be divided into three pools. Pool A consists of the international cricketers coming from the West Indies and also overseas.

Pool B consists of a mix of international and over 100 local players; a few of them had represented the West Indies.

The final pool, Pool C, will consist of all under 23 players coming from across the Caribbean Islands. Each team is expected to pick four players from Pool A, seven from Pool B, and finally, Two from Pool C. All of the matches will be aired at all times Eastern Caribbean Time. The Board of Control for Cricket in India, the Cricket West Indies, and the Hero Caribbean Premier League had their discussions to amend the tournament dates. The tournament is set to start on the 26th of August and end on the 15th of September.

The teams to play include the Guyana Amazon Warriors, Barbados Tridents, St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots, Jamaica Tallawahs, St. Lucia Zouks, and Trinbago Knight Riders.
