The thrilling match between Trinbago Knight Riders vs Saint Lucia Kings concluded yesterday with the Saint Lucia Kings gliding towards victory by 21 runs. The team will now face St Kitts & Nevis Patriots in the CPL finals on 15 September 2021.
The Saint Lucia Kings won the toss and chose to bat first. The SLK had a shaky start, losing Andre Fletcher at four runs and Cornwall for a duck, but the team kept the spirits high. Mark Deyal, who came third in the batting line, took charge of the high scoring stint. He maintained high intensity throughout the match and scored a good 78 runs. Another notable mention was that Tim David and David Wiese made a noteworthy contribution in taking the team to 205/4 after 20 overs.
The defending champions started with a strong start with Sunil Narine knocking 30 from 17 balls. The team scored 66 in the powerplay with a loss of just one wicket.
