The TKR hopes 36-year-old will take a wicket haul
After being away for a long time, Ravi Rampaul is yet again set to come back to play cricket. Then, he was a player in the Barbados Tridents. During his time, he stood out with outstanding records. The 36-year-old can bowl long spells and move the ball at a brisk pace in both directions. In 2011, he was picked in the WC squad and ended up picking five wickets against India.
After that, he made 11 wickets while playing with Pakistan. This made him the most looked-up player for the West Indies as he could strike and get the ball to move both ways. However, he couldn’t manage to reach the international levels despite his outstanding performance because of several injuries.
However, things have gone his way after Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) picked up Ravi Rampaul. As a result, he will be taking part in the Caribbean Premier League T20 tournament. This will be his first time to play for TKR. According to Rampaul, he is excited to play in Caribbean Premier League 2021 for the team after a long time. During the last five years, Ravi had been playing for the English County Cricket. In the first two years, he battled for Surrey and later moved to Derbyshire for the remaining years.
CPL 2021: Trinbago Knight Riders Full Squad
The officials have come up with an entire squad that will take part in the match. Among them is Kieron Pollard, Sunil Narine, Sandeep Lamichanne, Colin Anderson Philip, Tion Webster, Danesh Ramdin, Jayden Seales, Aked Hosein, Ali Khan, Ravi Rampaul, Leonardo Julian, Sikandar Raza, and Isuru Udana.
However, some players will not participate in the tournament due to the trade window. A player like Dwayne Bravo will be representing the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots. As much as they had the strongest team in the previous competitions, they still expect to perform better in the coming Caribbean Premier League in 2021. Apart from Rampaul, other players like Sandeep Lamichanne were also included in the squad.
CPL will be played in St. Kitts and Warmer Park in Basseterre. Moreover, Ravi also appreciated Pollard for being a great leader who is driven by teamwork and motivation. As many fans are looking forward to the awaited match, Ravi Rampaul still practices at home with a few types of equipment to give his best in the coming 28th CPL. This followed after the rise of COVID-19 cases, which led to the cancellation of the training.
After taking a break in cricket, Ravi Rampaul is back with TKR to play for the coming match. He is expected to perform better due to the outstanding records from the previous games with other teams; as he waits for the 28th CPL match, Rampaul continues to train at home to give better results for his new team.
