After ECB accepts BCCI’s request, Virat Kohli-led Team India to play a warm-up match ahead of England Test Series

The highly-awaited five-match India vs England Test Series 2021 will include a warm-up game from July 20 to 22 against a team arranged by the England Cricket Board (ECB). The English board has willingly accepted the request made by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to arrange a practice game. It is yet to be decided which team will take on Virat Kohli, and his squad, but a warm-up game will happen once the team is back from the short break post World Test Championship final.

The squad for India vs England 2021 test series is eagerly awaiting the warm-up game as it will give Team India a chance to showcase their batting and bowling strength before the test series. This warm-up game will be a litmus test for the Indian team before the India vs England Test Match. The modalities have been worked out after the BCCI spoke to ECB for a warm-up match before the series gets underway.  

Team India is set to take on England in a much-awaited five-match test series that is scheduled to kick off on August 4. The team will get to play two warm-up games ahead of the series that are likely to be played at Durham, which is also the venue for Team India’s pre-series preparation.
