Sri Lanka vs Oman T20 Prediction Tips

In the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup, Sri Lanka and Oman will be playing two T20I matches. The two matches are scheduled for the 7th and the 9th of October 2021. After the two matches, the two teams will go against each other in the Qualifiers. Lankan players are currently looking to up their game and rebuild for the marquee event. These two matches will serve as good preparation for Sri Lanka. The marquee event, held in Oman and UAE, is set to begin in October. Both the teams will depart on October 3rd for the T20I matches.

But who do you think will win the matches? Here’s a short analysis of both teams.

Sri Lanka has a good bowling department, with Lasith Malinga coming back after staying in the shadows for a while. When leading the team against New Zealand, the 35-year old took seven wickets in the three matches. Malinga is one of the best death bowlers, with 318 wickets from 213 matches. Angelo Mathews has also joined the team after having suffered a hamstring injury a while back. A major weakness of the team is that the batting order cannot handle pressure, losing wickets in series once the chain starts.

As for Oman, Zeeshan Maqsood will be leading the team. Most of the squad is packed with the core players from the Global Qualifier two years ago. Aayan Khan and Nester Dhamba pose the spin attack. An all-rounder, Khawar Ali, will be at the top of the batting lineup and in the leg spinners department. Jatinder Singh, Aqib Ilyas makeup the middle order. Mohammad Nadeem will most likely play the death overs along with Suraj Kumar. The team will be aiming to stay on the top of the Group B list.

Both the teams are entering with their best foot forward. We predict that the Sri Lankan team will keep Oman under high pressure, but the latter will likely perform well. However, Sri Lanks will probably grab the victory.Stay tuned for more sports news updates about your favorite team and players.
