The latest sports news update reveals that Rajasthan Royals releases their two players for the Mumbai tour to Oman. The second leg of the IPL 2021 is all set to start from September when Vaishasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube from the Royals have been selected in Mumbai’s playing 14 squads for their upcoming tour.
The top-order batsman Vaishasvi Jaiswal and the all-rounder Shivam Dube are selected for the three T20s and several one-day matches in the Oman Tour by Mumbai’s Cricket Selection Committee. The chairman of the committee, Salil Ankola, has given a formal request application to Rajasthan Royals for their release as the first-prioritized players are busy with IPL commitments and international tournaments.
Rajasthan Royals was urged to release these two players by the Mumbai Cricket Association. The RR franchise agreed to the interest and dignity of cricket. The chairman announced to the media that they would join the IPL 2021 scheduled matches after their tour.
After one-day quarantine in Muscat, the Mumbai squad will play the scheduled T20 matches for three days. The dates for the T20 matches are August 22, 24 and 26. The One-Day matches will be held on August 29, 31, and September 2.
Mumbai Indian squad is all geared up after the motivational sessions from the legend Sachin Tendulkar. Ankola also said that the two players would gain a lot of practice for their upcoming IPL matches.
Practising cricket in Mumbai has been troubled these days due to rain. The tour to Oman will prepare the Mumbai squad boys for their upcoming domestic seasons. Dube and Jaiswal will join the Royals after their tour is over in the first week of September.
