Jofra Archer Likely To Miss Eng vs. Ind Test Series, Participation In IPL Is Questionable Too

England is having a bit of bad luck on the cricket grounds. Some of the key players have been unable to play for the nation in the last test series. The first test between England and India was all set to commence on Aug 4. First, Ben Stokes decided to opt-out of the matches to focus on his mental health. Next, the team also missed Chris Woakes in the first two tests.

But England’s star pacer will not be playing as well. Fans will miss the exceptional performance of Jofra Archer in the England vs. India Test Series. The stress fracture was diagnosed in his right elbow. The 26-year-old has undergone surgery in May to get rid of an impingement. He was optimistic about returning midway in the test series. But after suffering from continued discomfort, he realized that the injury was worse than he feared.

Will He Come Back For IPL?

Initially, it was thought that Archer would be joining Woakes after the second test series. But there is no possibility that Jofra will be returning for the tournament. He has been ruled out for the rest of the year. Therefore, it is highly unlikely that the player will be returning for Indian Premier League 2021.

Ending Note

Jofra Archer will be on extended medical leave for the time being. He will be up for a medical reexamination in the first half of autumn. Fans and fellow cricketers are hoping that he will come back stronger, follow pure win news and get daily updates for sports news with all latest match live status.
