Royal Challengers and Sunrisers Hyderabad will lock horns on 6th October at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. It will be the 52nd match of the Indian Premier League 2021.
RCB’s last great win against Rajasthan Royals has boosted their confidence. However, Sunrisers Hyderabad has not been so fortunate. Their last match against Chennai Super Kings on 30th September 2021 was unfortunate, to say the least. So who will win in the RCB vs. SRH match? Firstly, let’s look at the players’ performances in their last matches against each other.
In the last match between RCB and RR, the former did exceptionally well and defeated RR by seven wickets. The game saw some fantastic performances by Glen Maxwell and Srikar Bharat, in which they scored 50 and 44, respectively. Good batting performances by the team captain Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikal also added to the total runs of 153.
The star performer Harshal Patel took three wickets in the game. Yuzvendra Chahal and Shahbaz Ahmed also took two wickets each, which added to the team’s victory.
RCB is in the third position right after CSK and DC on the points table. They have three more matches to go, further improving their NRR, which currently stands at -0.200. Their last match was a win for them, but they will have to win by a higher margin for them to get above DC. As far as whether this Virat-led team can qualify for the playoffs, the answer is highly positive. From the upcoming three matches of RBC, they need to win at least one game. The chances of this seem high the way RCB is playing. But, unpredictability is the second nature of a format like this. The RCB vs. SRH match will be up next, and a win against the Sunrisers team will secure their position.
Wriddhiman Saha scored 44 runs in 46 balls against CSK before Jadeja became the reason for his fall.
Although Abhishek Sharma, Abdul Samad, and Rashid Khan did make some contributions, the star performer of this game was Jason Holder, who took three crucial wickets. Players like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kane Williamson, and Samad have shown their potential in IPL matches. These players need to perform well in their upcoming game against RCB. The addition of Jason Holder to the squad has been a positive boost. However, he couldn’t manage to score in the last match. His improvement can also be an advantage to the team.
SRH has been the weakest among the teams this season. They have no chance of making it to the playoffs now and will be playing for pride. This particular season has been extra hard on them.
Sadly, for SRH, with their loss to CSK in their last match, they have been officially eliminated from the race to qualify for the playoffs.
Based on the current situation, there is a higher chance for RCB to win this one. The performances have been looking good, and the last two consecutive wins of RCB have boosted their morale and pushed them to almost qualifying for the playoffs. One win is all they need!
On the other hand, SRH’s unfortunate loss with CSK has made them the first team to be out of the playoffs. But that doesn’t mean they have no reason to win. After all, it is all about playing the game!
