The upcoming T20 world cup is the seventh one and it is scheduled to take place in UAE and Oman. Previously, it was decided that the venue for the international cricket tournament will be India. But the recent spike in the number of COVID – 19 cases struck fear in the minds of the ICC’s top brass. The event will begin on the 17th of October.
Cricket teams from all over the globe are trying their best to remain in form by playing countless limited-over matches. But, the Indian cricket team simply focused on their last-minute tour of Sri Lanka and their overall preparation for the IPL 2021.
Experts point out the fact that the Indian cricket team will be under a lot of pressure. This is because they played three T20 international matches along with the three one-day international matches in Sri Lanka, and that too with a B-Team. Most of the players that will be representing team India in the upcoming T20 World Cup were not able to prepare for the event due to their busy schedules during the England Test series.
