England Women Vs New Zealand Women, 4th ODI

England, the champions of England Women Vs New Zealand women series 2021 with 245 runs for seven wickets, beat New Zealand 244 for eight by three wickets at County Ground in Derby on 23rd September 2021.

The Best Player

Heather Knight’ is the best player. She procured a sparkling victory for England with an invincible three to one lead in their one day international against New Zealand. Knight, the England captain’s century, led the team to the highest run-chase with a whooping one 101 runs on 107 balls. England aced to forty-nine runs without any loss after ten overs. Knight and Amy Jones shared the fourth-wicket off hundred to hit the innings. Jones’ knock was inspiring in the context of England’s effort as she gained forty runs.

How did New Zealand lose?

Sciver ejected Suzie Bates with seventeen runs when Shrubsole struck in with a massive sway to get Maddy Green to grab by Freya Davies. When Dean served to Satterthwaite, New Zealand were way too ahead with one seventy-three run for five. Later, Brooke Halliday advanced with a notable cameo of twenty-eight runs with nineteen balls and a six. Dean returned down. 

Rowe indicated in with fifteen runs for fourteen to drag New Zealand to the towering score of the series; however, by then, the final say was with England. Thanks to Knight for the splendid victory. 

The Victory

Knight gained control over the match. Her efforts for four to Rowe turned pivotal to England’s path to success. Wyatt eased with a six over off Rowe while Knight’s four in the same direction was dashing. Sophie Ecclestone’s stumped off a wide with a finish at the verge of victory with three wickets and three balls left was indeed exciting.
