Kieron Pollard has been given the charge to captain Tribango Knight Riders in CPL 2021. He is a Trinidadian cricketer who has proved to be a prolific all-rounder in limited-overs cricket. He has shown his mettle as a big-hitting batsman in the middle-order and as a pace bowler. After his stunning performance in the 2009 Champions League, he was signed for the domestic T20 campaigns by Somerset and the Southern Redback. He was also the highest-paid player in the 2010 Indian Premier League auction, playing for Mumbai Indians.
Kieron Pollard was named the captain of the West Indies for One Day Internationals and T20 international matches in September 2019. Pollard became the first cricketer to play in 500 T20 matches in March 2020. He has enjoyed a long stint as an international cricketer and is best-suited for limited-overs cricket.
The 33-year-old Pollard took over as captain of Trinbago Knight Riders Squad in 2019 after Dwayne Bravo had to miss the entire tournament due to an injury. In the 2020 season of the Caribbean Premier League, Kieron Pollard made 207 runs from eleven games at a strike rate of 204.95. Tribango Knight Riders went on to win all ten matches at the league stage and later went on to clinch the trophy.
West Indies Captain Kieron Pollard equaled the record of Gary Sobers, Herschelle Gibbs, and Yuvraj Singh by hitting a six on every ball in a single over. This feat of Pollard has made him one of the greatest players in limited-overs cricket and his name will be etched in the elite group with this achievement.
