Bangladesh To Play Host To New Zealand For An Upcoming T20 Series

Bangladesh is all set to host the Kiwis for New Zealand vs Bangladesh T20 Series 2021 from September 1 – 10. The matches are scheduled to be played at the Shere Bangla Stadium in Dhaka. This series happens to be a part of both teams’ warm-up before the T20I World Cup is held from October 17 – November 14 in Oman and the UAE.

Details of New Zealand vs Bangladesh T20 Schedule

New Zealand’s tour will conclude nine days prior to IPL Phase II, which starts on 19th September. New Zealand vs Bangladesh T20 Series 2021 will be the first time the Kiwis will visit Bangladesh since 2013, when these two teams played one T20I, three ODIs, and two tests. Bangladesh had won the ODI series and New Zealand took home the trophy for the T20I. The test series was a draw between the two teams. 

In all this time, New Zealand has played a host to Bangladesh two times: a limited-overs series this year and a complete tour in 2016. In the limited overs series, the visitors were hammered out by New Zealand in both the T20Is and ODIs. 

At present, Bangladesh is playing a host to Australia for their five-match T20I series. Before this, England was also supposed to visit Bangladesh for a white-ball tour that was slated to happen in September-October 2021 but was postponed to March 2023.
