West Indies future stars will be part of the Caribbean Premier League 2021 for the third year in a row

The ninth edition of CPL 2021 is going to offer some great opportunities to West Indies Future Stars who are looking forward to showcasing their cricketing skills during the tournament. These players have been retained and signed as the emerging players in each of the six CPL franchises.

Each Caribbean Premier League franchise will be required to field an emerging player a minimum of five times during the tournament. These players will get an opportunity to play competitive cricket with some of the best international players and be trained by experienced coaches from around the world. 

The emerging players’ initiative of the Caribbean Premier League is a dynamic program to train the young players to compete with the elite players in international cricket tournaments. The experience gained by these future stars will go a long way in establishing them as the next generation of international players within the T20 format of the game. During these challenging times, the Caribbean Premier League will provide great learning and development opportunities to the talented young players for turning them into future stars. 

Listed below are the emerging players retained for their respective CPL teams who will be part of the CPL 2021 as West Indies Future Stars. 

  • Joshua Bishop (Barbados) – Retained by Barbados Tridents
  • Nyeem Young (Barbados) – Retained by Barbados Tridents
  • Ashmead Nedd (Guyana) – Retained by Guyana Warriors
  • Kevin Sinclair (Guyana) – Retained by Guyana Warriors
  • Dominic Drakes (Barbados) – Retained by St Kitts & Nevis Patriots
  • Joshua Da Silva (Trinidad & Tobago) – Retained by St Kitts & Nevis Patriots
  • Jayden Seales (Trinidad & Tobago) – Retained by Trinbago Knight Riders
