Caribbean Premier League 2021 season announces fixtures and schedules of the matches to be played this year

The final dates of the upcoming ninth season of the Caribbean Premier League 2021 have been announced by Cricket West Indies. The tournament will hold 33 CPL matches in 21 days to accommodate the second phase of Indian Premier League 2021 from the third week of September in the UAE. The fixtures have been made in consultation with the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) and the same has been conveyed in the official press release by CWI. s

The tight-knit schedule of CPL 2021 has been worked out under unusual circumstances of the Covid19 pandemic that requires adherence to strict safety protocols and social distancing norms. Each day of CPL 2021, two matches will be played during morning and evening hours and a triple-header day on 12th September, followed by the final match on 15th September. Both the semi-finals will be played on 14th September and finalists will not get the privilege of a day’s rest before the final match.
