Pakistan will be playing several T20Is and three ODIs in England from 8 – 20th July, before they take on world champions West Indies in two tests and five T20s. This is an extremely important tour for Pakistan because it will decide their fate in the upcoming matches. Here’s what the selectors have decided for the T20s and ODIs.
Azam Khan To Play In The T20 Squad Against West Indies And England
Pakistan has named Azam Khan to play in the West Indies vs Pakistan T20 Series and in the England tour. The 22-year-old son of former skipper Moin Khan was a surprise choice for the twin tours as the cricketer has played only one first-class match and 36 T20 matches. However, he has earned quite the fame for the amazing sixes he hits.
He has already made his mark in the Sri Lanka Premier League and Pakistan Super League games. And the selectors, including head Misbah-ul-Haq and current skipper Babar Azam, have immense faith in his abilities.
They have tried to maintain all the winning pairs, and at the same time, kept four experienced players in the team and uncapped Khan for the cricketer’s domestic performance. The selectors also feel that it will give him the confidence to play better in the future Pakistan T20 Match 2021.
Other Pakistan T20 players Included And Left Off The List
Imad Wasim: He has been recalled for the three and five T20 matches to be played in England and the West Indies, respectively. He might even make his mark in the T20 World Cup.
