Australians prevent a complete whitewash in the 4th T20I against Bangladesh

The Australians managed to avoid a complete series whitewash against the visitors in the recently concluded 4th T20I of the Australia tour of Bangladesh. The visitors secured a three-wicket victory in a low-scoring contest on a highly tricky pitch. Here is how the tables turned for the hosts in the 4th match of Ban vs Aus T20.

A tough night for Shakib Al Hasan

Besides the lucky run out, this isn’t a day in the Australia tour of Bangladesh that Shakib will want to remember fondly. Like all other batsmen on this pitch, he started dismally slow. He labored to get 15 runs off 26 balls, and gave the team a brisk beginning.

Andrew Tye, Turner, and Agar did not leave him much room, before Hazlewood finally took him out. He was decent with the ball, but figures like 4-0-50-0 in the low-scoring Ban vs Aus T20 match do not amount to much.

Swepson sweeps it off for Australia

This Australia tour of Bangladesh was the second outing for Swepson (the first being against West Indies), and he has already made his mark with his outstanding bowling attack.

He trapped Mahmudullah with an LBW, then pinned down Nurul with a googly, and was almost about to get a hat-trick. His third attack was on Mohammad Naim, who had scored 28 runs off 36 balls. Australia might just make Swepson a frontliner for the World Cup.

Endnote

The entire Ban vs Aus T20 series was tough on the batsmen, but the 4th match made it harder. The hosts kept stumbling against Hazlewood and Swepson. They only managed to pass three figures in their final over thanks to Mahedi Hasan striking a good score of 23 runs off 16 balls.
