Jimmy Adams lauds in CPL 2021 the young WI players before the onset of the Hero CPL 2021.
Adam, who is the director of CRICKET West Indies, gave all his support to the young Caribbean cricketers as the latter secured yet another chance to show their skills to the world in the CPL 2021.
There is more than one opportunity available for the young cricketers representing West Indies in the 9th edition of the CPL that is scheduled to start at St Kitts later in 2021. With that stated, it is also best to keep in mind that each franchise of this year’s CPL would need to make sure that they are fielding a promising and emerging cricketer at least 5 times during the whole length of the tournament. This step will ensure that the selected players will gain a deeper knowledge of what it really takes to become a competitive player in the field. At the same time, the gathered experience will also help the player(s) to train with the best coaches and players hailing from the Caribbean nations as well as from nations around the globe!
With that stated, it is best to remember the fact that the list containing the names of the twelve drafted and retained players includes the recent debutants at the T20I and West Indies Men’s Test series, Joshua Da Silva as well as Kevin Sinclair – both of these players will be featuring at the Nevis Patriots and St Kitts as well as the Guyana Amazon Warriors. Both of these players have made it to the big table of revered cricketers at a very young age which shows in their CWI development rank recorded over the last 1+ year (18 months to be exact!).
Both of these players represent the West Indies Emerging team that played in the CG Insurance Super50 Cup way back in 2019.
