T20 World Cup 2021 Groups Announced- Check Complete List

Cricket lovers can now plan their schedule for watching some exciting cricket! The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the groups for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 to be held in the United Arab Emirates, and Oman from October 17th to November 14th, 2021.

Team rankings form the basis of the T20 World Cup 2021. All the participating teams are divided into two groups.

Group 1 consists of the defending champions West Indies who are tagged along with the former champions England, Australia, and South Africa with two qualifiers from Round 1 joining them.

Group 2 of the T20 World Cup comprises former champions India and Pakistan, New Zealand, Afghanistan, and the other two qualifiers from Round 1.

The first round will be contested by eight teams including Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Ireland, Netherlands, and Namibia join Sri Lanka in Group A, whilst Oman, and Scotland will face Bangladesh in Group B.

Cricket fans are delighted with ICC groupings of the Men’s T20 World Cup 2021. However, the delay may have disappointed the fans, but they are looking for some explosive on-field performances. The teams will create some news off the field too.

The disruptions caused by the COVID19 pandemic have prompted ICC to select the cutoff dates close to the event to include the maximum amount of cricket in the tournament that is watched with great enthusiasm by millions of cricket fans all over the world. They can look forward to some highly competitive cricket once the event gets underway in October after three months.

India was originally supposed to hold the ICC T20 World Cup 2021but it was decided to move the event to another country due to inhibitions of the third wave of Coronavirus hitting the Indian sub-continent during that period.
